A car free village at the foot of the Matterhorn. Summer hiking, winter skiing and the most photographed mountain in the Alps.
Zermatt is reached by train from Täsch; cars stay below. The Gornergrat railway gives the classic Matterhorn view, Matterhorn Glacier Paradise the highest cable car station in Europe, and the Five Lakes walk the reflection everyone wants. The Glacier Express connects Zermatt with St. Moritz in eight hours, and we book its Excellence Class or a standard first class carriage depending on the group.

About Zermatt.
Do we need to book the Glacier Express far ahead?
Yes. Excellence Class sells out months ahead in summer and at Christmas. First class needs two to four weeks.
Is Zermatt good for non skiers in winter?
Yes. The Gornergrat, winter walks, sledging and the village itself work without skis.
How many nights?
Two to three. One is not enough with the transfer time.
